Twist on Station Rise Wins Inaugural Mayor of London Award

twist-prizeOn the night of halloween, Tree Shepherd were awarded the treat of attending the prestigious annual Team London Awards event. We were thrilled to win the prize for the inaugural Community Crowd Funding category for our hugely successful Twist on Station Rise street market event series. Our award recognises our hard work and commitment in successfully managing a project that improved our local area in Tulse Hill and engaged a diverse community.

The Mayor’s Civic Crowdfunding programme gives Londoners a new way to help regenerate an area. It means they can put forward and run local projects that are meaningful to them. Communities can come together with the passion and enthusiasm to achieve a successful local campaign, then work alongside City Hall to realise their ideas.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who has been nominated for an award and to thank the thousands of Londoners who make a difference in their community every day. Keep up the good work” Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London

Award presented in The Chamber at City Hall by:

  • Debbie Jackson, Assistant Director of Regeneration GLA
  • Wayne Hemingway, MBE, Pioneer of social, affordable, sustainable design
