R.A.W. CIC are a newly established Community Interest Company (CIC), a third sector care provider based in Lambeth. Their mission is to create and develop recovery based workshops which focuses on using Art as a therapy. Their aim is to use the Arts to tackle the stigma, poverty and unemployment faced by adults in recovery.
They are a peer led organisation. It is inspiring to know that all of their staff have lived experience of being in recovery, that they successfully completed their journey and have gone on to help others in their community by gaining employment with R.A.W.
The R.A.W. programme provides therapeutic artistic training to adults in recovery. The program also teaches members how to create art pieces to be sold at profit to support their recovery, as well as employablility skills. The online R.A.W. gallery showcases and sells the arts and crafts created by local service users in recovery.
To help those who are isolated, they invite all service users in the Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark boroughs to attend peer supported socials.
