Paulette, 56, has a background in design and has always been creative, even making her own clothes as a child aged 10. Working with flowers had always been an interest and in the 1980s she recalls commissions such as huge foliage pieces for a wine bar and a floral display for an estate agent.
Yet for various reasons she didn’t pursue it then. In 2000 she joined a church and began arranging flower displays for them as a volunteer. Then in 2012, after losing a job in the arts, a friend suggested she return to floral design and this gave her the confidence.
It was an opportune time for her to come across Tree Shepherd. Her goal for one year’s time is to have a shop selling home products with a floral design studio attached.
