Colin: “I am very excited about joining the board of the LFP and grateful to everyone who voted for me. The food sector in Lambeth is an extremely exciting place to be and has the potential to support scores of new businesses and employ hundreds more people. Perhaps even more importantly I want to help the partnership make good quality food more accessible to people on low-incomes. There is a strong role for social enterprise in this sector to create jobs and help people in need”
Sustainable food champion Sue Sheehan announced she was standing down as Chair and introduced Nathan Pierce to the role. Nathan updated the audience on Lambeth being the Food Flagship Borough, with an address by Hanna Ostling from the GLA, the backers for this flagship initiative.
Colin very much looks forward to being an active member of the Board and helping shape sustainable food initiatives that are inclusive for all communities boroughwide.
